Prologue: Kathy originally
asked a question about angelfish eggs. We corresponded a bit and she
sent some nice pictures I thought you'd enjoy. I know I did. All
these pictures are the property of Kathy Potts. She owns the
copyrights to them. She gave me permission to use them.

Thank you so much for responding to my question about my
angelfish eggs being under attack!!!! I know that you didn't have
to take the time, and, I really appreciate your responding so
quickly!!! Thank you!! Thank you!! Thank you!!.
I
snapped these photos about an hour ago. It is the 75 gallon tank
with my 8 adult angels, 6 bristlenose plecos, and one cory cat.
This is the tank that my pair spawned in earlier this week. This
is like the fourth time they have spawned. I have now named them
Romeo and Juliet. They are a wonderful, dedicated pair!! Their
first spawn went very well. I will send you a photo of their
offspring. Their first spawn was in March of this year. I have 50
or 60 that are doing fine in a 40 gallon tank by themselves. With
their first spawn, we had an emergency evacuation about 3:00 am.
That was when we moved the pair and wigglers to their own tank. I
left the parents with them for 3 or 4 weeks. Fantastic parents.
The
second, third, and fourth spawns were attacked by the worms. With
the third and now with the fourth spawn, approximately 1/2 the eggs
made it. I will take your advice and remove the eggs next time,
right after the spawn, and put them immediately in a bare bottom
aquarium. Hopefully this last spawn, the ones in the photo that I
sent you under attack, will turn out pretty good. This fourth spawn
was the most eggs she has ever laid.
We
have a number of freshwater aquariums: 180 gallon community tank, a
90 gallon cichlid tank, 75 gallon cichlid tank,100 gallon with 6
Electric Blues, the 75 gallon with the 8 angels, a 40 gallon with
the juvenile angels from the first spawn, a 28 gallon with the new
angel spawn, a 30 gallon with juvenile peacocks (2 inches long), and
two 10 gallon tanks with more juvenile peacocks (about 1 inch long).
I will send you some small pics of the tanks..

Last Words: Too bad you can't see the
full-size versions of the pics. As you may have figured out by now,
angelfish are definitely one of my favorite fishes. LA

Well Helllllloooooo There!!!! :-)
What ya think about the pic below? Another one I snapped last
night. These guy/dolls are going to be gorgeous when they grow up!!!
I bumped them up to a 75 gallon last night. Ended up getting rid
of the Africans and Peacocks that were in that tank, so now these
are in there.
Ya think that you might be able to put this pic with the other
Angels on my page? Do you ever get the Philippine Blues?
KP
Excellent pic by Kathy (as usual).
A: To quote
blues singer Kenny Wayne Shepherd, "Everybody gets the blues." But I
never got the Philippine blues. They're still a bit pricy for me to
order a whole passel. Looks to be a pearlscale also. I'll wait
till all the hoopla dies down and get some then. In the meantime, I'll
add your pic to your angel page.
