We couldn't record it all. You'd have to see the whole thing in person. We hope you'll enjoy our report of some of the highlights. We know you'll enjoy the cats. We weren't the only ones taking pictures. LA LA Two Drake Journalism students were working on a video of the show. LA Plenty of other paparazzi were there shooting the cats and events. LA Some of the many record keepers there to make sure the winning cats get their correct points. LA "Let's just get this over with, if you don't mind." LA They don't all enjoy being poked and prodded by the judges. LA But most of the contestants were real pros and put up with the process. LA Every cat gets judged by four judges today and four different judges tomorrow. LA When not being judged, Bart enjoyed posing for pictures. LA You could choose from a whole "cat"alog of cat-oriented attire. LA Plus much hard to find "kid-tested" cat furniture. LA "Why are you pestering me?" LA Judges sometimes had to spark a contestant's interest. LA More cat-owner paraphernalia. There were rows of vendors. Many hard-to-find items. LA Lots of different cat cage looks. LA Crowd was a little light at this ring. Most were too packed to get close. LA Here's another set of cat quarters. LA More vendors of cat toys. LA Yes, there were kittens for sale at the show. LA More cat quarters. LA "I wouldn't be here if I had dirty ears." LA "Frankly, I'm not as excited to be here as I look." LA "Sure, I'll pose for a good cause." LA Manx cat (no tail). LA Reminiscent of a rabbit in the hind quarters. LA Tail completely missing. LA "This could be my best side." LA "Or this. I have so many best sides." LA "What's all the hub bub about?" LA "What part of NO! don't you understand?" LA "Kids, what are you going to do with them?" LA "I'm just glad to be here." LA "I'm interested in the whole process." LA Bob-tail -- a new class this year. LA "No autographs please." LA "Ah, nothing like a nap in the fresh litter." LA Kids especially enjoy the cats. LA "You are seriously interfering with my nap time." LA "Beauty can be painful." LA "But the results are worth it." LA "All this attention is such a bore." LA "I'll try to ignore it." LA You can lead a horse to water... LA And ditto a cat. LA "The old boy is such a ham." LA "Brand new cat toys to bat around." LA Here's an exhaust fan for a cat hutch. LA "Easy on the eyes, kiddo." LA "You bet I could survive in the wild." LA "I could survive in the wild, too, but who'd want to?" The Exhibitors. Every exhibitor we talked to enjoyed discussing his or her cats (a lot). Each one had his or her own favorite breed. As always, we learned a great deal at the show. We'd have learned even more if we could have stayed longer. We'll be there again next year. LA More Breeds.
