Pond fans will find a visit to
our local zoo a good source for ideas and ways to make water look good.
Money well spent.
LA
We like this otter (upper left) environment even if they do devour fish.
LA
Nice touch in their (do not feed) black swan area.
LA
Weeping willows always look good near water although few trees are messier.
LA
Same lake over by the koi food machines. Koi eat
like starved pigs...
LA
Koi literally come up out of the water to get their share of the food. No
plants here.
LA
Might be fun to toss one in here. Sea lions enjoy their mini-sea.
LA
Nice waterfall. Ignore those kitty cats in the back.
LA
Flamingos get
special foods to keep their colors. Chilean flamingos are not as pink.
LA
Magellan penguins frolic under
a cooling waterfall.
LA
A swaying rope bridge makes crossing this stream an adventure.
LA
Small pondlets appear here and there in the stream.
LA
As we leave, we exit under this waterfall.
LA
Same waterfall from a distance.
Obviously we did not cover
everything in this pictorial. We included the parts of interest to pond
keepers. You’ll see much more at the Blank Park Zoo in addition to water
gardens.
