Prologue:  Perfect weather for fishing -- just a bit overcast and about 72 degrees.  First non-rain morning in quite some time.  High water all around the state.  Rivers out of their banks all over the state but still just great for fishing.  The Des Moines Area Community College, WHO-AM radio, Sportsmens Warehouse, and the Iowa Department of Natural Resources co-sponsored the event.

We had to walk around these impromptu marsh areas.  The ground was very wet.

These DNR people provided fishing equipment and deep-fried perch for kids and adults.
