We started Snakesgiving II by introducing Kendall's two carpet pythons.
Aaron Plowright, June 18, 2007
Hi, sorry to correct you but I'm sure you are aware that the top picture
on this page is not of some guy with his two carpet pythons, rather his
two rainbow boas, which I believe to be a Brazilian rainbow on the left,
and a Columbian on the right. (Although I confess I cannot be sure on
either without seeing them closer up, the one on the left could be a
Peruvian, and the one on the right may be an Argentinean or one of a few
other similar looking species within the Epicrates family).
Yours,
A: Don't be sorry about being right. Thanks for
spotting my error. LA

Then we introduced Kendall (the snakes are cuter). Kendall's wearing
his Iowa Herpetological Society shirt and Habitat Systems hat -- official
uniform of all happy snake keepers.
LA
Now a red-faced Scott pulls a male Burmese python out of his lockable
cooler ...
LA
... and with encouragement from Darla hefts 60 pounds of muscle on to
Kendall.
LA
Kendall looks happier than the Burm. Rick likes the show, too.
LA
Neither the Burm nor Kendall were the actual stars of the Seminar.
LA
Scott was our snake expert. Besides raising snakes, Scott makes
reptile exhibit cases at Habitat Systems. Scott and Darla outlined
their costly "Albino Project" during the seminar. Scott
also coordinates the Iowa Herp Society's annual herp sale. You may
have seen this particular uncommon Argentine boa constrictor on the
morning news 10.06.04. He and Scott were both at the Great
Iowa Pet Expo last month.
LA
Scott's Argentine boa constrictor looks quite different from the red-tail
boa he brought.
LA
Paul examines Scott's red-tail boa constrictor. Paul says these guys
like to bite him.
LA
This hard working male boa has a plump female anxiously awaiting his
arrival at home. Seems it's that time of year.
So, Scott and
Darla packed up their snake buddies along with some Mountain Dew and began
their 90-minute journey home. If you missed Snakesgiving II, it's
your own darned fault. LA
