TarantulaWeen 2010 Part 1 deals with
the crowd -- somewhat larger than we expected so we
ran out of chairs. The large turnout was mostly due to Paul's efforts at
signing up interested people. He went a little overboard on the
refreshments, but that's a chance we had to take. Mike "resourced" the
door prizes (thanks Zilla) and arranged the room. He should have
made it larger. LA prepared the tarantula color IDs and Kellie worked
as sergeant of arms controlling the crowd. She was also supposedly
videotaping the gathering but that's another story. Joe Mastous made
the presentation with the aid of his nubile assistant (Paul). Joe also
arranged for the 25 pink toe spiderlings.
TarantulaWeen 2010 Part
2 features Joe's advanced part of the event (the
scientific side). This was a slide presentation, very difficult to
reproduce here.

Last Words:
TarantulaWeen 2010 Part 1 was a very
successful event for Aqualand customers -- so successful that Kellie said
"Let's do Snakesgiving again this year." I think we'd be pressed for
time, but we'll see what we can do. Sorry that we couldn't reproduce
Joe's commentary, but perhaps we'll have him perform on a future Webinar (an
even better name when talking about spiders). LA
